Google Ads
Google Ads that look beyond clicks and conversions
A campaign can look healthy inside Google Ads while the commercial result lags behind. That's why ClickEdge looks not only at CPC, conversions and CPA, but also at lead quality, revenue, pipeline and what happens after the click.
More than campaign management
When Google Ads is running, but not performing well enough
Google Ads doesn't need to perform badly to still leave money on the table. Especially once campaigns have been running for a while, room for improvement often emerges in structure, conversion tracking and the connection to the rest of the funnel.
CPA is slowly creeping up
Costs rise while volume or quality don't grow in proportion. In that case, simply optimising further for the same conversions is usually not enough.
Conversions are there, but quality is disappointing
The platform treats every set-up conversion as a success. Sales or CRM data can meanwhile paint a very different picture.
Campaigns have become unnecessarily complex
More campaigns, audiences, keywords and exclusions don't automatically give you more control. Sometimes simplification actually leads to better steering and more usable data.
The problem lies outside Google Ads
A changed landing page, pricing, form flow or tracking setup can affect performance without anything fundamentally wrong inside the ad account itself.
The full chain
Not optimising for Google, but for results
ClickEdge views Google Ads as part of the full commercial chain. From search query and ad to landing page, conversion, CRM and eventual customer value.
A lower CPA isn't automatically better when lead quality drops at the same time. Conversely, a campaign with a higher CPA can be commercially more interesting when it delivers more valuable customers.
That's why optimisation starts with the question of which outcome actually creates value for the organisation. You can read more about our approach on the page about our expertise.

What we look at
Optimising Google Ads starts with the right questions
Account and campaign structure
We assess whether campaigns are logically built around market, search intent, product and available data. Accounts that have grown organically over time often contain overlap and complexity that actually make optimisation harder.
Keywords, ads and targeting
Not every relevant keyword automatically deserves budget. We look at actual intent, search terms, broad match, negatives, ads and how well message and search query align.
Conversion tracking and quality
Google Ads can only optimise for the signals it receives. That's why we look at conversion actions, tracking, GA4, GTM and, where possible, CRM data to distinguish between volume and commercial quality.
Budget and bid strategy
Budget isn't automatically spread evenly just because campaigns have historically been set up that way. We look at where extra spend is genuinely scalable and where a higher budget mostly leads to higher costs.
Approach
Understand first, change second
Not every decline calls for a new campaign structure or a different bid strategy. Sometimes the problem lies in targeting, sometimes in conversion tracking and sometimes entirely outside Google Ads.
That's why a collaboration usually starts with analysing account data, trends, changes and the full conversion path. Only then do we determine which interventions are genuinely needed.

B2B & Lead Generation
More leads isn't always better
Within B2B, the value of a lead is rarely directly visible in Google Ads. A campaign can generate dozens of conversions while only a small portion of those ultimately turns out to be interesting for sales.
That's why ClickEdge looks, wherever possible, beyond the initial form submission. Combining campaign data with lead quality, CRM data and commercial outcomes creates a much better basis for steering budget and campaigns.
International campaigns
The same strategy doesn't mean the same market
International campaigns require central oversight without flattening local differences. Search volume, CPC, competition and conversion behaviour can vary significantly by country.
That's why we assess markets individually, while keeping measurement methodology, campaign structure and strategic starting points as consistent as possible. This prevents strong and weak markets from hiding behind each other in a single average figure. You can read how this plays out by sector on our industries page.
From the field
Not every Google Ads problem starts in Google Ads
When Google Ads isn't the real problem
A campaign can run stably for months and then drop sharply without major changes inside Google Ads. In that situation it's tempting to immediately adjust bids, keywords or campaigns.
But when pricing, forms or the route to conversion have changed at the same time, that's often where the actual cause lies. Analysing the full customer journey first prevents you from trying to fix a campaign that is mostly reacting to a problem elsewhere.
From conversion volume to commercial quality
More conversions mean little when they barely generate value. By assessing conversion goals more critically and distinguishing between different types of leads, Google Ads can learn to optimise for signals that sit closer to actual business value.
